Warp coils
Positioned in the Nacelles, when these are super heated by the drive plasma they produce a subspace distortion that then produces a stable Warp field.

Warp Core Breach
When the magnetic constraints that maintain a stable reaction in the M/ARA fall below 16% the Matter/Antimatter reaction goes critical, destroying the entire ship and possibly any others around it. It is the worst case scenario in Engineering terms.

Warp Engine
The primary component to this engine is the Deuterium crystal which acts as an inhibitor of the M/AM reaction. It can not be produced synthetically but can be artificially reconstructed out of existing crystals. Because of this the planets that provide the crystals have incredible financial and political power. Deuterium Matter/Antimatter reactors have many detrimental effects on space-time when used to power a Warp Engine, particularly when employed at high Warp speeds.

Warp Factor
The rating given to a Vessel which equates to the recommended maximum speed of the vessel. Interchangeable with the term Impulse speed by early Starfleet officers who don't know they are wrong.

Warp Field
A subspace distortion that allows the enclosed object to move at Warp speeds.
