Magnetic Containment Field: A magnetic field designed to restrain various volatile phenomena. A Level 1 containment field is used to restrict personnel. A Level 3 field is strong enough to stop highly energised plasma (but not a Jem Hadar).
Magnetic Restrictor: Devices within the Dilithium Reaction Chamber used to maintain regularity in the Matter/Antimatter reaction.
Main Deflector Dish: Attached to the forward section of the USS Explorer this device is the visible part of the Main Navigational Deflector.
Main Engineering: On the USS Explorer Main Engineering is located on both decks at the rear of the ship.

Mechanoids: Any machine capable of independent function along determined lines. Set and forget robots.
Millicochranes: Unit of measure of subspace distortion, named after Zefram Chochrane, the Human inventor of the Warp drive. One thousand Millicochranes (1 Cochrane) is the energy required to establish a field equivalent to Warp Factor 1.
Mindmeld: A Vulcan practice of telepathically joining two minds. It can be used on almost any intelligent species or device, but the effects can be extremely detrimental to both parties. All medical experts warn against doing it but Vulcans always believe that their mind will be strong enough.
