Mtambwe Biko, Ensign. Diplomacy/Morale Officer of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Negro Male.
Mtambwe is a very happy person. He is one of the people who holds the crew together. His laugh is infectious and he has a sharp wit. Although he was an Admiral in 2386 he surrendered his commission so he could work as a morale officer alongside his wife who was an engineer on the Explorer. His wife died in unspecified circumstances during the testing of the USS Explorer and the pain is still very fresh in his heart. He has one son and two daughters. His son Steven is the first officer of the USS Mandella which is in the nearby area of Federation space. One of his daughters is living on Earth as a teacher, the other is working on Starbase Geo investigating plasma behaviour under Commander Annette Clanned.
Neil Carmatage, Ensign. Tactics/Security Officer on USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Caucasian Male. [KIA 51309.8]
One of Thelin's hand picked team. He was killed in an explosion caused by Lyan weaponary.
Tricia Clarke, Ensign. Tactics/Security Officer on USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Female.
Joined the crew on Stardate 51456.6, as a member of the Pegesus Project.
Dr Nick Cowalski. Chief Medical Officer of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Caucasian Male.[KIA 51309.8]
One of the original crew who served under Ajax while the ship was being developed. He had a private room sealed off next to Med-bay where even the Chief engineer is not suposed to go, and a dedicated fussion generator runs 24x7 to power something significant in the room. He died when a Lyan weapon exploded in Medical bay.
Dale Evans, Lt Commander. 1st Officer of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Caucasian Male. [KIA 51309.8]
Evans and Glass were close friends through the academy. Evans was a skilled motivator and coordinator. He took charge of many of the minor roles after an unspecified accident aboard the Explorer. He was killed by a Lyan warrior who boarded the ship.
Ajax Glass, Captain of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Caucasian Male.
Born 2354. One of the fastest rising officers in Starfleet. Has a reputation for volatile temperment and taking risks. In 2371 He became a junior officer in the R&D department at Utopia Planitea involved in preparation for a renewed Borg threat. He was involved in the development of the Rotating Shield Harmonics and Pulse Phaser Cannons on the Defiant Class vessels. In 2375 he was moved to the Pegesus Project where he continued his work on shield modulation. During that year he killed a Klingon Officer from the house of Sum'Jaq in hand-to-hand combat. In 2376 he was part of the R&D team preparing new NX class vessles for the Dominion war. In 2385 he was given command of the new NX 71131, USS Explorer. While testing the ship there was an inductrial accident that killed many of the crew and it's production was set back. By the time it was completed the Dominion War had ended and the ship was refitted for deep space exploration, with Ajax still in charge and allowed to hand pick his crew for work in the Klingon Territories.
Marcus Gleeks, Ensign. Astrophysicist of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Caucasian Male.
Fresh out of the Academy, Gleeks is a talented Astrophysicist, but tends to approach things in a more enthusiastic fashion than cool logic requires. He uses Lt Syvok as an emotional break on his work. It suits both well and produces good results.
Benjamin Henji, Ensign. Engineering Officer on USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Indian Male.
Joined the crew on Stardate 51456.6, as a member of the Pegesus Project. Specialist in Phasic technologies. Is constantly teased by Pegusus Security members for his nerves. Suffers from stutter unless discussing things he is pasionate about.
Dr Kym Leeks. Botanist and Chief Science Officer of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Caucasian Female.
Leeks is a quiet self composed person who is rarely rushed about anything. It is rumoured she has never been bored in her life. She spends a lot of time doing general scientific work since there is rarely any contact with unusual flora. She was promoted to CSO on Stardate 51375.9 with the listing of Lt Syvok as Medically Unfit for Duty.
Mark McReedy, Lt (sg). Chief Engineer of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Caucasian Male. [KIA 51309.8]
A gifted Engineer who qualified top of his class in Quantum Mechanics, and his paper on Phase Technologies won him the coveted S.A.F.E. (Spok Award For Excelence). He was killed by a Lyan intruder in Engineering.
Rangi Moa, Ensign. Tactics/Security Officer on USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Maori Male.
Joined the crew on Stardate 51456.6, as a member of the Pegesus Project. Specialist in stealth on covert entry.
Trevor Musk , Ensign. Teleporter/Security Officer on USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Caucasian Male.
One of Thelin's Hand picked team. Although he lacks the initiative to make him a great Security Officer, he is strong and imposing, as well as being a gifted console operator. He has been training to run the Tactics console on the Bridge.
Zeal Narcis , Ensign. Chief Of Operations of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Bajoran Male.
Zeal was too young to be involved in the resistance during the initial Cardassian occupation of Bajor. As such he grew up in the blossoming culture under the blesing of the Prophets. He believes in the teachings, but doesn't let it interfere with his everyday life. As he says he'd rather rely on a tricorder than the Prophets revelation. His upbringing during the late Cardassian occupation and then the Dominion war has left him mildly suspicious of everything. Enjoys rumours and conspiracy theories.
N'gath, Ensign. Engineer of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Bollian Male. [KIA 51309.8]
N'gath shared quarters with Sterman but was killed in an explosion caused by Lyan weaponry.
Clara Nights, Ensign. Communications Officer of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Negro Female.
Clara entered the communications arena through aiding her parents who were diplomats on Bollia. She trained with languages and found she had a love, though not necessarily the gifted skill. She has to work hard to grasp a new language, but the work always pays off.
Avery Pen, Ensign. Tactics/Security Officer on USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Male.
Joined the crew on Stardate 51456.6, as a member of the Pegesus Project.
Mandy Rouge, Ensign. Security Officer on USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Caucasian Female.
One of Thelin's hand picked team. A dead shot, and top of her class in stealth and inteligence operations.
Crystal Ruby, Ensign. Chief Medical Officer/Exobiologist of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Tectonic Female.
Although only trained as an Exobiologist, Crystal's experience was the closest to medical of anyone on the ship after a Lyan weapon killed CMO Nick Cowalski. Since the EMH can not be run long term Ruby has had to try her hand. It has been commented by at least one of the crew that Tectonic medicine and Blacksmithing are probably related disciplines.
Christopher Thain, Lt. Diplomatic Core of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Male.
Joined the crew on Stardate 51456.6, Thain was picked for his excellent, if unorthodox, first contact procedures. Has a reputation for being so laughable that he is never percieved a threat. Single handedly defused the Daedelous Massecre of 2383. Married to Keri.
Keri Anne Thain, Ensign. Medical Nurse on the USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human Female.
Joined the crew on Stardate 51456.6, Thain was picked for her medical skills. Initially it was planned that she would augment the medical team, but it soon became apparent that she would take on most medical duties. Married to Christopher.
Thelin, Lt (jg). Chief Tactical Officer of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Human/Cardassian Male.
Born of a human mother on one of the worlds taken by the Cardassians during the Dominion war, Thelin has inherited his fathers cunning and his mothers tenacity. He spent the majority of his youth in the resistance on his palnet before linking with some Starfleet officers in the system. He served aboard the USS Chapcupi for three years during the conflict, even though he had not been to Starfleet. He recieved a field comission of Ensign and was admitted to the Academy as soon as the war ended.
Po Tolmey, Ensign. Stellar Cartographer of USS Explorer, NX 71131 Vulcan Male.
With the dedicationa nd patience typical of his race, Tolmey has a methodical approach to everything, but a key eye for detail. It is believed he has memorised every starfield he has mapped.
