Auxiliary Vehicle Roster and Descriptions
Shuttlecraft - Since many things may affect a ship’s ability to transfer cargo and personnel with the Transporters it is necessary to carry a supplementary system. Shuttle craft range in size depending on their function, as described in the chart below.
Runabout - A larger version of the Shuttle craft. Although in terms of Weapons and defence it is perhaps equivalent to a ship twice it’s size it’s ability, it’s range is limited. It can not maintain that level of activity for more than a short time and has a maximum of Warp Factor 3.
- Danube
- Transport up to 6 diplomatic personnel. Warp capable. Long range. The most advanced form of Runabout the Federation has. The USS Torrens was a Danube Class.
- Sydney Class
- Earliest Class of Runabout Starship.
