Backup Fusion Generators: Similar to the Impulse Engine, but used predominantly for auxiliary power rather than propulsion. The USS Explorer has a dedicated Impulse Generator on the lower deck behind the Computer Core, however there are a number of Modular compartmetns that can be addapted for additional units along the side of the lower deck.
Battle Bridge
Bearing X mark Y: Designation of direction relative to the X and Y axis plane of the observer. This can pertain to selected course or observed object.
Beta shift: Designation given to define the duty roster of one quarter of the crew. This is not a designation used aboard the USS Explorer.
